Job Description:
Thorough knowledge of loan closing documentation and loan closing processes in escrow, non escrow and attorney states. Experience/knowledge of mortgage lending requirements, regulations and procedures for Conventional, VA/FHA, Jumbo and Sub-prime products required. Absorbs professional knowledge quickly and develops skills independently. Applies a broad knowledge of a specialized area to solve and manage production issues and improve capacity and quality. Provides leadership and uses discretion to support the attainment of department functions/objectives.Accountable for the impact of activities and projects involving the closing and post closing departments. Contributes by overseeing activities that are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, or impact immediate costs or expenses. High degree of judgment and independent thinking is required as decisions affect department policy and procedures, productivity, accuracy and quality. Decisions can have an impact on other departments within the fulfillment center. Inaccuracies could lead to loan production delays which may impact the customer relationships, which over time may significantly impact customers’ satisfaction and revenue. Attends conferences and meets with customers/vendors and subcontractors to solve problems and exchange information. Meets regularly with peer and up-line management; frequent contact with external customers. Functions in an independent manner with only very limited direction from more experienced managers. Negotiates and exercises influence over adjacent departments to ensure operational excellence. Communicates department mission and vision.Anticipates/leads the identification of complex business and operational issues. Develops and implements solutions through management of staff based on business knowledge and analytical skills.
