Job Description:
Responsibilities: Engage in research related to the study of information in society with an emphasis on historical, policy, and/or economic processes or issues * Collaborate with others in GSLIS on strengthening the research focus on information in society * Teach one course per year Requirements * Ph.D. in library and information science, history, communication, political science, sociology, science and technology studies, or a related area * Demonstrated engagement with issues related to the study of information in society in previous research and/or teaching * Interest in pursuing a career as a faculty member in an information school The position is funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The initial appointment is for 12 months, renewable for an additional 12 months.
