Job Description: You will lead a team focused on evaluating, selecting, designing and implementing telephony services based on a set of business requirements that deliver value. Coordinate across multiple technology organizations to plan, design and implement cost-effective technology solutions to solve complex business problems while ensuring alignment with the company's enterprise architecture strategy. Ensure the team remains current and compliant with all telephony service delivery functions. Develop and execute test cases and test plans based on an analysis of risk. Design or coordinate larger test environments. Coordinate and validate the development of monitoring and metric data for operating systems, platforms and installed applications that contribute to reliability, scalability, availability and capacity management. Coordinate and validate the development of appropriate diagnostics and actions based on those defined metrics and alarms. Mentor within the team providing objective feedback to team members. Set standards for and leads design or review sessions. Keep current with Industry trends and best practices as applicable for business needs. Demonstrate the ability to develop project plans, lead/advise others in developing plans and execute against those plans to facilitate the overall success of the organization. Assist in the prioritization and verification of technical work within the team.
Strong analytical, problem solving, mentoring and communication skills both verbal and written with ability to effectively communicate with peers, managers and customers.

Job Requirements: MERIDIAN Technology Group seeks a Lead Telecommunications Engineer JW6818 with a minimum of 12+ years experience designing and implementing complex, large scale VoIP and TDM systems for large enterprise environments. MUST have at least 5 years experience and certification with Avaya/Lucent and/or Cisco systems. The right candidate needs to have engineering level experience, as opposed to operational/administrative support level. Wider experience and architectural focus in future call processing design - call management, voicemail, call recording, call reporting, call centers, etc. required. Specific experience with VoIP, S8700 media servers, G250/G350/G700 media gateways, PBX, ACD, lifecycle management, voice messaging, interactive voice response (IVR; Aspect, Periphonics), CTI, call management, call accounting, audio/video conferencing, TCP/IP and MPLS concepts, Quality of Service (QoS) and cell phone communications. Capable of creating necessary work products utilizing Visio, Word, Project and Excel. Experience in project management, scheduling and prioritization. Experience with global rollouts of VOIP infrastructure a definite plus.
