Job Description:
Responsibilities: Oversee schedules, supplies, materials, equipment and manpower requirements in the pilot plant, and recommend programs to maximize project success, improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of pilot plant operations. Provide technical leadership in the areas of process development, process validation and equipment validation with a focus on solid oral dosage forms. Provide functional leadership for all technology transfer related projects to assure timely scale-up and launch of new products. Set up and maintain tracking system for each product defining critical process parameters. Responsible for writing technical summaries and process development/validation reports, author/review/approve cGMP-compliant documentations (SOPs, manufacturing batch records and validation protocols) Prepares, reviews and approve sections of ANDA submissions when required Develops and implements equipment installation/operation/performance qualifications activities in the pilot plant. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements Assesses utilization resources and identifies when, and where additional resources may be needed Ensure staff members are appropriately trained and training records are maintained at current required levels Influence product formulation/process to optimize use of facility equipment Provides regular performance feedback, development and coaching to direct reports Qualifications: Ph.D degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent discipline with 8+ years or more relevant experience in the field of process development/validation and technical operations/ services for solid oral dosage forms or Bachelor's/Master's degree with 12+ years of related experience and/or training.
