Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. The Director of Training has responsibility for overseeing the local academic support programs, which place students in practicum and internship training assignments in support of the academic programs. The local Directors of Professional Training will report to the local Program Directors, and will also report to the Director of Training for aspects of overall quality of training. In this role, the Director of Training will work to ensure uniformity of quality training across locations. 2. Refines existing and establishes new policies and guidelines for professional training, to be universally implemented at each campus 3. Collaborates with Program Directors and local Directors of Professional Training in developing annual operating plans and developing policies 4. Supervision of Psychological Service Center (PSC) Directors 5. Has oversight and works with the Finance Department and PSC Directors to develop Budgets for the PSC 6. Monitors the implementation of PSC budgets 7. Liaisons with the Finance Department in tracking and administering all PSC grants and contracts 8. Provides oversight and monitors the overall quality of services provided to the public and the provision of doctoral level field training experience for practicum and internship students 9. Collaborates with and acts as a liaison to internal University offices including finance, legal, marketing and development 10. Strategic planning for program development and growth within the University and externally with community based organizations, agencies and schools 11. Collaborates with the University Grants and Contracts Office to identify and secure external funding resources..
