Job Description:
Supports Plant Operations by performing a combination of duties and tasks to ensure all operational activities for the 24-hour chemical demilitarization operation are in compliance with federal, state and local environmental acts, regulations, laws, and rulings and to ensure compliance with all OSHA and DA safety regulations. Duties require that the incumbent function as required during the shift to support the Plant Shift Manager and other supervisors to ensure that environmental and safety issues are identified and corrected in a timely manner. Works with Environmental Compliance and Safety Representatives to ensure that TOCDF facility remains in compliance with established environmental and safety requirements. This position requires that the tasks and duties be completed with a high degree of accuracy, urgency and reliability. Job Requirements: THIS POSITION IS FOR DAY SHIFT.Incumbent must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent + 6 years specialized training or work experience in industrial safety environment (specialized education or Vo-Tech training may substitute for experience). In addition, the incumbent must be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Operations procedures, State and Federal environmental regulations, be capable of working independently, using judgment and discretion to make decisions which may impact facility operations and compliance; and demonstrate the ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and myriad objectives.
