Job Description: Directs environmental compliance efforts to ensure that the company complies with all environmental regulations and programs within each system. · Responsible for the review of all environmental design and compliance of new facilities. · Oversees daily operations of environmental research projects. · Develops and maintains positive working relationships with regulatory agencies. · Communicates, both verbally and in writing, with federal, state, regional and local government officials, company management and staff on pending regulatory and legislative matters. · Manages department personal, evaluates performance and creates employee development plans. · Monitors departmental budget. · Implements all goals and objectives related to the department. · Performs other duties as assigned. · Works under minimal direction. Minimum Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or science related field and ten years of progressively responsible experience performing highly complex work in the area of environmental quality, environmental engineering, regulations and operations. · Graduate Degree in Engineering or science related field is preferred · Eight years of supervisory experience or seven years with successful completion of GSWC Service Leadership Academy.
