Job Description:
The Sales and Distribution Supervisor is primarily responsible for team development, cost parameters, and service to customers (internal and external). This individual is responsible for a work team of over 45 drivers and an administrative staff. As a new Supervisor you will complete a training curriculum exposing you to distribution, manufacturing, and sales operations processes. The successful candidate will lead our team of drivers through support in removing performance obstacles and delivering systems & compliance success for our Distribution Center. Key Responsibilities: Manage DOT regulatory compliance Champion and manage safety programs Manage fleet maintenance program Conduct presentations and formal training programs Perform trade off analysis of common carrier/internal fleet Manage support staff responsible for driver dispatch, computerized tracking of driver logs and other administrative functions Backhaul revenue generation Interface with product direct delivery customers, vend customers and sales associates Motivate team members to achieve plan goals Develop team to solve own day-to-day operational issues Administer policies and practices Job Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Business Major Prefer 1-3 years transporation/traffic experience with strong understanding of industry, common carrier, and dedicated fleet operations
