Job Description:
Establishes and implements system for efficient management of patient flow activities such as pre-registration, registration, billing information, financial coverage and discharge.Works with medical professional staff and nursing personnel to assure smooth operation of clinics, resolution of problems and improving non-patient care procedures.Develops and maintains design for communication with referring physicians.Recommends and implements policy/procedure/system changes as necessaryCoordinates an effective, efficient patient clinic schedule, taking into consideration trends in volume and other statistical data.Represents the Office Manager at appropriate administrative meetings.Assumes ACR, and Front Desk duties in absence of staff.Maintains competence and professional development. Performs other duties as requested. Minimum Education/Training Required: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration or similar discipline preferred or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum Experience Required: Five years experience in administrative/secretarial jobs in a medical/clinic setting, including at least one year in a lead/supervising capacity. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Thorough knowledge of Center mission, activities and personnel. Broad knowledge of PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheets. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully both verbally and in writing. Ability to anticipate and resolve problems.
