Job Description:
Associate development, conflict resolution, pharmacy practices, business plan development and change process. Oversees the development of standards for implementing pharmaceutical robotics, and identifies automation and information system needs and standards in coordination with the Information Services Division. Leads the preparation of the annual Financial Plan and monitor compliance to the plan in conjunction with Associates and the System Pharmacy Management Team. Assess and analyze systems/practices and their cost effectiveness. Oversee the purchase of medications and pharmaceuticals utilized. Monitors pharmaceutical operating efficiencies and off-contract purchases throughout the system. Ensure all medications are stored according to established security and environmental condition. Oversees the design, development, maintenance and compliance with the system wide drug formulary. Monitors and responds to formulary deviations, oversee the development of clinical/pharmaceutical intervention programs and oversees the development of alternative drug utilization programs and drug use evaluations. Oversees the education of physicians, nurses, committess, tec. regarding the importance of appropriate drug use, cost controls, use of cost efficient drugs and new drugs.
