Job Description:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Two (2) years of supervisor/management experience strongly preferred.* Oncology and managed care experience strongly preferred.* BPS certification preferred.* Knowledge of managed care pharmacy practice.Accountabilities:1. Directs the delivery of specialty pharmacy services and programs that meet the six aims (effectiveness, efficiency, equitable, patient centered, timeliness and safety.2. Provides clinical pharmacy expertise including participation on disease management teams, screening of appropriateness of drug therapy, patient education, and active input into the selection of cost-effective pharmaceuticals.3. Participates as a member of health plan and medical group committees or subcommittees (e.g., Pharmacy and therapeutics, Institutional Review Board, etc.). Chairs the HealthPartners Specialty Pharmacy Utilization Improvement Committee.4. Develops and implements strategies for trend management related to specialty pharmaceuticals such as oncology for all sites of administration including self-administered, in-clinic infusions and home care.5. Designs, develops and/or facilitates the development of best practice guidelines and appropriate use criteria for specialty pharmaceuticals for review by the Pharmacy Quality and Utilization Improvement Committee, P&T Committee and Medical Policy Committee. 6. Conducts or assists in conducting DUR/DUE studies and monitors and coordinates.
