Job Description:
We are currently seeking a software professional to perform duties such as designing, development, maintenance, and support for the Field Reporting for Law Enforcement product in our Huntsville area office. Assignments will result in product enhancements, fixes, recommendations, and solutions to highly complex and important law enforcement based software engineering and technical problems. The job offers unique opportunity to help improve an industry leading public safety commercial software product, furnish technical advice on the adequacy and/or feasibility of enhancement requests, and make recommendations on changes necessary to resolve problems and automate processes. The opportunity will also include developing software designs, recommending courses of action concerning emerging requirements, and coordination with other internal/external organizations.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering Discipline with 8 years related experience.
Requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).
The job requires strong working knowledge of C# .NET object oriented development, WPF, SQL server (or Oracle), requirements definition, software design, software engineering and integration, software estimation, technical writing, and data modeling. Other desirable qualifications include experience with XAML, WCF, MS Sync Services, prior law enforcement records management IT experience, good verbal and written communication skills, data security, and web service based application development.
