We seek an Underwriting Manager or Underwriting Team leader who is strategic and can develop the Underwriting capabilities for this sector of UnitedHealth Group. Individual will provide guidance on evolving new strategies in Underwriting and develop a team to support the deliverables. Positions in this function manage underwriters and/or technicians. -Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff.- Work most often impacts a large business unit, or multiple markets/sites. - Develops and executes strategies for a function or discipline that span a large business unit or multiple markets/sites.- Directs others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines.- Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external). -Undergraduate degree - Underwriting experience in the Pharmaceutical/PBM arena is an absolute requirement. - Demonstrated leadership experience in building a team and managing a small group of Underwriters. - Demonstrated experience in being a strategic agent of change--with a track record of evolving strategies and capabilities in Underwriting for a PBM.
