Job Description:
Coordinates work flow and assignments to ensure most efficient and effective use of personnel and resources. * Chairs Staff Operating Committee responsible for development and implementation of training programs, new coordinator orientation programs, internal policies and standard operating procedures. * Ensures all CCTO staff complete required orientation and continuing education programs and training, new coordinator training, institutionally mandated training and certification programs, and ensures updated training records are maintained. * Oversees development and implementation of cancer specific training programs as needed. * Conducts periodic staff meetings to ensure staff is kept abreast of institutional goals, initiatives, policies and procedures. * Determines administrative and data management staff needs as protocols are open and conducted in consultation with Program leaders and senior staff. * Provides input on the feasibility of conducting new trials, any personnel conflicts with ongoing trials, and other logistical and administrative issues. * Provides administrative coordination with affiliates and, along with other senior staff serves as the CCTO liaison to the DFHCC, ECOG and other cooperative groups and institutions. * Serves as a resource to Research Administrative staff, physicians, nurses, and non-nursing clinical research staff to identify and provide information needed for special reports, grant applications and other decisions.
