This position, located in Bangor , will oversee and manage the daily accounting duties related to the retail heating oil line of business. The qualified candidate will provide direct support to the retail heating oil locations by identifying, investigating and resolving questions related to the daily accounting functions and account reconciliations. Responsibilities: Manage and supervise central payment processing of retail fuel AR Coordinate retail fuel accounting policies and procedures Effective and accessible supervision of staff and the prioritization of the work flow Oversee the training and communication to the retail heating oil locations. Supervises liquid inventory control of delivery trucks and bulk plants for retail fuel branches. Manage procedures for daily cash control at retail fuel branches. Monthly and quarterly sales and excise tax reporting tax reporting General ledger reconciliations Review of monthly financial statements Requirements Must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, (or associate degree with successful relevant experience) 5+ years of related experience Successful supervisory experience Must have solid problem solving ability and be highly organized with attention to detail Advanced computer and accounting software experience is essential Excellent communication and customer service skills are required Our client offers a collaborative, challenging environment and a comprehensive salary and benefits package.
