Our client, located near Kalamazoo MI is looking for a Controller. All inquiries regarding this position are confidential. Purpose of the Position: Oversee all financial reporting for company including preparation of financial statements monthly, payroll preparation and processing, posting of accounting transactions to journal entries, and cash flow analysis. Primary Responsibilities: Supervise a one person department and work with investors CPA's on reviewing financial details monthly including monthly financial reports. Ensure all accounting transactions conform to GAP procedures Oversee internal controls for the company to ensure integrity is practiced in all steps of the company in conducting business transactions Issue weekly accounts payables and receivable and follow up to ensure prompt payments and receivables are maintained on all accounts. Act as the Human Resource activity for the company including working with Company management on hiring, disciplining employees, and firing if required. Ensure company follows all federal and state regulations regarding human resources Perform special studies at the request of the Chairman or other company executives. Work with outside auditors to ensure company compiles with acceptable accounting rules, regulations, and internal control standards.
