File property renditions and protest the assessments where appropriate with the local jurisdictions and the State assessors (Oklahoma & Arkansas) * Maintain good relationships with the State and Local government officials * Assist tax management and business unit leaders in providing tax planning related to state and local issues associated with ongoing operations as well as acquisitions and other business development activities * Assist tax management and business unit leaders in providing tax planning related to state and local issues associated with ongoing operations as well as acquisitions and other business development activities * Assist tax management and business unit leaders in the review of contracts with state and local implications * Assign manage and review work produced by tax accountants * Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures designed to minimize the state and local tax burden of all companies * Other special projects as needed Skills/Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in accounting * Ability to perform technical tax research in a variety of subject areas * Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
