The primary objective of this position is to coordinate the membership functions and operations of the Member Relations area encompassing member recruitment, retention and engagement efforts. This role has significant interaction with members, prospects and staff.This is an exciting opportunity to develop ones skills in member relations management for an influential and well-regarded organization. This is also a great opportunity to make the transition from the corporate world to a rewarding career at a worthy nonprofit.RESPONSIBILITIESMember Recruitment: Design and implement comprehensive strategies to identify, research, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward new members. Goal is to recruit 100 new members in 2008, and potentially up to 400 in the next 3 years. Respond to member inquiries and qualify prospective members on a timely basis. Develop customized information packets and perform active follow up to ensure the prospect becomes a member. Identify prospect opportunities through events and education programs sponsored by the organization on and off-site.
