Job Description:
Design and coordinate a cohesive program that effectively utilizes staff efforts in each major gift area; recruit and cultivate relationships with key volunteers in the community to encourage gifts including estate plans; work closely with staff to develop creative methods to sustain and grow charitable gifts including planned gifts; work closely with volunteers and area offices to define major donor base & to develop long-term relationships; educate potential donors through presentations, proposals and/or written materials; coach, encourage and supervise staff in each major gift area, including developing KRAs, planning goals, objectives and reviewing performance; assist with recruitment and staffing of volunteer committees; perform other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree a plusDemonstrated ability to raise funds from individuals and to lead and manage a department focused on fundraisingBasic understanding of planned giving and gift planning tools, i.e., Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts, Gift Annuities, etc.
