Job Description: Candidate must possess broad knowledge of financial/cost principles, practices and procedures. Prepares monthly program trend reports, estimates-to-complete based on each program’s progress as related to contract requirements, and financial performance status in comparison to budget. Acts as a liaison between accounting personnel and program managers. Analyzes and reconciles project inventory, cost of goods sold, sales order bookings and reconciles backlog. Prepares cost of goods sold journal at month-end. Reconciles Project Status Report to general ledger. Assists with the preparation of various financial reports with Impromptu report writing software and Excel.
Job Requirements: •Bachelor’s degree required. BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred. •3+ years experience in Accounting/Finance, and one to two years experience in project/cost accounting preferred. •Manufacturing environment and defense industry experience desired. •Requires good analytical skills, with close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. •Requires good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to make effective presentations. •Must be eligible to obtain DoD Security Clearance and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. •Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint. •Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus. •Impromptu reporting writing experience is a plus
