Job Description:
This licensed pharmacist will provide management and supervision of the delivery of specialty pharmaceuticals including self-administered, in-clinic and home infusion products. This person will also develop and support quality and utilization improvement programs focused on appropriate use of specialty pharmaceuticals including oncology.Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree or Pharm. D from a recognized school of pharmacy* Licensure in the State of Minnesota as a pharmacist.* Five (5) years of clinical pharmacy experience or successful completion of one or two years specialized post-doctoral residency/fellowship.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Two (2) years of supervisor/management experience strongly preferred.* Oncology and managed care experience strongly preferred.* BPS certification preferred.* Knowledge of managed care pharmacy practice.Accountabilities:1. Directs the delivery of specialty pharmacy services and programs that meet the six aims (effectiveness, efficiency, equitable, patient centered, timeliness and safety.2. Provides clinical pharmacy expertise including participation on disease management teams, screening of appropriateness of drug therapy, patient education, and active input into the selection of cost-effective pharmaceuticals.3. Participates as a member of health plan and medical group committees or subcommittees (e.g., Pharmacy and therapeutics, Institutional Review Board, etc.).
