Job Description:
Plan, lead and perform attestation work to support managements assertions regarding financial reporting internal controls * Review and assess the design of existing and new internal controls * Communicates or assists in communicating the results of attestation projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the Finance Committee of MedImmunes Board of Directors * Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings. * Represents Financial Compliance on SOX Committee teams, at management meetings and with external organizations. * Provides or assists in providing training, coaching and guidance to Financial Compliance staff in conducting testing and other SOX-related issues. In addition, the Senior Manager will be required to perform the following tasks: * Display teamwork, integrity and leadership * Stay current on relevant SEC & PCAOB literature, discuss with Director Job RequirementsEducation: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, CIA certified. CPA or MBA preferred. Experience: Five or more years Sarbanes Oxley experience with an emphasis in Internal Audit and relevant experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry a plus.Skills Required: · Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic · Good technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS · Knowledge and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, particularly Section 404, a strong plus · Ability to liaise with all levels of management and strong interpersonal skills a must · Analytical and problem solving skills · Solid organizational, time management and project management skills · Flexibility, and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
