Ensure that receivables are appropriately booked at the scheduled rates and/or at the government allowable. Review published fee schedules against current allowables quarterly. Manage Medicaid and Medicare billing, collections, cash application, human resources for related staff, annual budgeted staff, salaries and general expenses for the Centralized Patient Financial Services Center. Ensure that: all accounts are worked at least once within 30 days and collection activity is proactive and elevated; cash is posted to invoice level within 48 hours of receipt; overpayments and duplicate payments are refunded as appropriate according to policy. Work with legal when contacting individuals within the State and Federal Program in resolving issues or questions that are not clearly interpreted by the Program requirements.
