Job Description:
Associate Director, Student Programs & Training Location: Swarthmore, PASupports college students in the areas of social responsibility and civic engagement. Actively fosters involvement of Swarthmore College students, faculty, and staff in the Lang Centers activities, grows the Center's capacity as a resource for students to become engaged citizens, supports students individually and in groups as they develop knowledge and skills for effective action in areas of social concern.The associate director will advise Swarthmore College students on opportunities to engage in service, activism, and project development on issues of social concern locally and globally; advise and provide training to students as they develop ideas, applications, and projects for social change; provide continuing support on the implementation of projects; help the center communicate broadly the activities and achievements of students, faculty, and staff in areas of service and social innovation; work with faculty to develop opportunities for learning in relationship to the curriculum; provide leadership, administration, and support for key programs of the Center that fund the work of social responsibility, including the Lang Opportunity Scholarship program and the Pericles Fund.
