Notes: included on Affirmative Action email The Office of Undergraduate Admission is seeking a highly motivated professional who is energetic, creative, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and will support the college\'s rich history and vision. Position title is dependent upon level of experience. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES:The Admission Counselor/Assistant Director of Admission will assist in and be responsible for all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process including, but not limited to - fall and spring recruitment travel, requiring professional and research based management of a recruitment territory; counseling prospective students and parents throughout the college application and selection process; assisting guidance professionals, faculty, alumni/ae, and prospective students and parents to better understand the college\'s mission through personal interviews, group presentations, and extensive follow-up communication; conducting thorough application review of admissions materials and provide decisions in a timely fashion; assisting in all recruitment related events both on- and off-campus; while representing the college with the utmost of professionalism. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Admission. QUALIFICATIONS:The successful candidate will have a Bachelor\'s degree and between one (1) and three (3) years experience working in admissions, higher education, or a related field. Must have demonstrated public relations skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required and candidates must demonstrate acute attention to detail, strong organization and problem solving abilities. Extensive travel with evening, night, and weekend work required. Knowledge of Recruitment Plus database management software and MS Professional software packages are beneficial. Flexibility, dedication, initiative, confidentiality, and the ability to learn are expected.
