JOB SUMMARY: Applications are being accepted for a full-time dentist for the position of Chief of Dental Service at the Amarillo VA Health Care System, Amarillo, Texas. Applicant must be proficient in all phases of general dentistry, especially prosthodontics (fixed or removable), endodontics, and periodontics. This is a full-time position. Tour of duty will normally be days, Monday-Friday. Relocation expenses are authorized with recruitment/relocation bonus available to highly qualified applicant(s). NOTE: Applicants who previously applied will be considered and need not reapply. First consideration will be given to applications received early. The AVAHCS consists of the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center located in Amarillo, Texas, along with 3 VA-staffed Outpatient Clinics located in Lubbock, Texas, Clovis, New Mexico, and Liberal, Kansas. The facility maintains two community based outpatient clinics in Childress and Strafford, Texas. Amarillo is one of the best kept secrets around. Our community is very friendly, the social events are diversified, and we have moderate climate with four distinct seasons.
