Job Description:
A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required. 7-10 years of experience in increasingly responsible audit or related roles (such as public accounting, risk management or controllership experience), ideally in the financial services or investment management industry. 3-5 years of management experience. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and audit methodologies/principles, including a thorough understanding of risks and controls. Technical proficiency with electronic workpapers and standard automation tools, including MS Word and Excel. Demonstrated leadership talents with a proven track record of directing and mentoring successful teams. Proven history of executing and delivering on effective team goals and meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality. Exceptional organizational, time-management, negotiation and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to be logical, persuasive, diplomatic, tactful and influential with all levels of professionals. Close attention to detail with a grasp of the big picture. Thoughtful and contemplative approach with a talent for using sound reasoning to reach conclusions. Engaging and monitoring the performance of co-sourcing partners to ensure timely completion of audits, special projects and consulting engagements. Serving as leader of the audit staff, providing feedback and performance appraisal, mentoring, coaching and compensation administration. Developing and implementing audit methodologies, policies, procedures and improvement recommendations. Serving as a stakeholder in the annual planning process, handling audit universe development, management discussions, risk assessments for each auditable unit and audit schedule preparation. Facilitating ongoing professional development and learning, both individually and for the IA team. Closing Date: 8-3-2008.
