This will require skilled HR change management and an active participation in project planning and rollout of changes required to ensure success of the initiative. The Director will participate as member of the global CCLS HR Leadership team, creating, and leading/advancing strategies supporting our Business Unit and Pan Covance culture change objectives (compelling offer/diversity plans and, People strategy plans and actions). The Director will drive the execution of these initiatives at the local level, by providing leadership for our recruiting and staffing efforts, employee relations, rewards & recognition programs, training and development, and general site administration activities. Duties and Responsibilities: ·Manages at least one HR Generalist ·Responsible for planning, training, staffing, and reward programs as needed, coordinating execution of these activities with Corporate HR Services ·Develops and/or recommends personnel and general business policies or practices consistent with company values and objectives ·Serves as expert on human resources issues, counseling management and/or employees concerning established and non-established procedures ·Prepares and monitors yearly departmental budget and business plans for the site or related to client team needs ·Ensures other performance management and related compensation rewards programs are in place ·Partners to ensure solid succession planning and talent reviews are completed A BS/BA in Business Administration or related area required, Masters in HRM or MBA desirable; SPHR designation desired. This position requires a minimum of eight years of experience in Human Resources with supervisory experience. Good written and verbal communication skills needed. Working knowledge of computer applications (e.g.; MS Office) with understanding of HRIS systems (PeopleSoft preferred)required. Proven ability to grasp complex concepts, be creative, and influence business and people decisions necessary. Proven knowledge of broad range of human resource practices, laws, and regulations both U.S. and Internationally. Skilled time management, planning and budgeting needed.
