Position Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: New York, New York CityJob Description:The Business Development Manager is a key member of the rd.com team responsible for identifying and executing high-impact partnerships and strategic alliances. The Business Development Manager should be a deal-maker who understands how to develop and close agreements with relevant partners across platforms to drive new traffic to rd.com and build the rd.com brand in the market. The role requires a savvy individual who is creative, a skilled negotiator and possesses an understanding for the dynamics of online partnerships and traffic-building. The successful candidate must be comfortable working through contracts and legal discussions. High-energy and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced dynamic environment is a must.Responsibilities: Identifying partnership opportunities through a deep understanding of the brand and the rd.com positioning as well as assessing and analyzing the potential impact and ROI for rd.com for working with any particular potential partner Meeting with potential partners who are interested in working with rd.com and evaluating possibilities for sharing content and developing other programs to achieve business goals Developing appropriate deal-terms and vetting opportunities with appropriate colleagues in management, editorial and sales Working with in-house legal resources to shepherd agreements through to close Owning and overseeing implementation for partnerships by working with all the necessary stakeholders Job Requirements: Qualifications: A minimum of 3-5 years online business development experience Track record of success working in a fast-paced, growth oriented online business Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Understanding of how to contact potential partners, develop relationships and pitch ideas Solid industry knowledge and a strong understanding for online media High level of energy and comfortable working with new challenges in a dynamic environment
