Job Description:
Position Purpose: This successful associate is responsible for determining the viability of an insurance claim and taking the necessary steps to ensure pay out from the insurance company. Responsibilities: Identify potential insurance claims and determine their eligibility based upon the criteria of the client's insurance policy Follow up with internal/external departments for all necessary documents Ensure all process steps are documented in appropriate tracking system Service incoming client calls and answer questions about specific accounts or general procedural issues on a timely basis Monitor daily work queues and activities Initiate outbound phone calls to resolve disputes and obtain status Audit claim proceeds/rejections to determine if within policy guidelines Negotiate and resolve disputes with various insurance agencies Create and maintain procedure documentation Maintain Fiserv/client customer service/satisfaction standards in all customer/business contacts Assist fellow Operations Support Associates and managers in areas designed by management Skills: Intermediate proficiency with PC/Windows related software (MS Office) required An understanding of automotive leasing and financing concepts very helpful Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required Ability to work effectively with minor supervision Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with daily work processing deadlines Ability to analyze problems quickly and in a professional manner Excellent problem resolution and follow up skills Ability to negotiate with insurance companies to achieve win-win results Excellent business writing skills Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to maintain a professional presence at all times Must be able to interact professionally and effectively during phone conversations with customers and businesses Ability to stay focused and maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting daily task and process deadlines Ability to spend 50% of the day engaged in telephone discussions Experience: Associates degree in a business related field or 1 year prior work experience required 1-2 years previous customer service experience/office environment required 1-2 years previous document processing management experience required Knowledge of and/or experience in automotive leasing and Finance preferred Personal Qualities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
