Department Overview Financial Reporting Operations provides shared services in support of the financial control community within Citigroup. It is guided by principles to provide best in class execution capabilities through improved controls, standard platforms, processes and optimal cost efficiency. This position will be responsible for preparing site to transition Insurance accounting job functions from multiple businesses, serve as liaison to the local business Controllers and CFOs during transition, and analyze significant out of balances in Insurance Reconciliations with direct and indirect staff. Secondary duties include developing and training staff and improving accounting processes. Key Roles and Responsibilities include the following: Manage Insurance Accounting department of 7 Prepare site to transition accounting functions from multiple businesses Serve as liaison to the local business Controllers and CFO Partner and interact with Financial Reporting Operations employees and CitiFinancial/WAMU branches Projects Specifications / Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required and Masters is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel is required. 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger account reconciliation experience is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills is required. Proficiency in Peoplesoft general ledger and financial systems is a plus. 5+ years of management experience preferred. 2+ years experience at Citi is a plus.
