This includes evaluating acquisitions, new products, strategic ventures, divestitures and major capital expenditure projects. %0A %0A •Develop and evaluate the financial criteria for the investment and disinvestment processes for Platts including maintaining specific guidelines, manuals and instructions for the financial and business evaluation of business plans. %0A •Analyze, evaluate and participate as part of the team that assesses all acquisitions, divestitures and investment initiatives. Perform due diligence and supply requisite data and information to management %0A •Perform special analyses of the financial implications of acquired or divested businesses, new product launches or restructuring actions including calculation of the gain or loss from disposed properties. %0A •Actively participate in the evaluation of new products and markets to evaluate the financial commitments and potential returns of new ventures. When necessary, assist the business units in the development of investment proposals. %0A •Provide special operational analysis including the development of key financial and non-financial operating metrics.%0A •Perform other specialized analysis as required. %0A •In order to prepare special studies and provide investment analysis, the position requires experience in financial statement analysis, financing techniques and structure, cash flow forecasting and return on investment techniques. %0A %0A •The incumbent will need to quickly gain a solid understanding of the operations of the acquisition or divestiture candidate and how the business would be integrated into McGraw-Hill or a potential acquirer.%0A •A good understanding of market competitors is required to support the new product area.%0A •The position is fully responsible for analysis and providing pro-forma financial scenarios to senior management. %0A •Develop and implement financial and operational integration plans for acquired businesses.
