Job Description Position Description: Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, coordinates and supervises the planning and implementation of intra- and interdepartmental activities on the unit. The Supervisor of Nursing Unit is responsible for an awareness of patient conditions and problems, and for maintaining an acceptable level of nursing care on the unit. The Supervisor assumes the functions of the Nurse Manager in his or her absence. Skills/Requirements EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required : Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Two years specialized nursing experience applicable to the department.
