Senior Manager, Financial Compliance Department Name: Finance Location: Gaithersburg Job ID Number: 7218-018 Job DescriptionPosition Summary The Compliance Group within MedImmunes Finance Department has an opening for a Senior Manager of Financial Attestation. As a member of the Compliance team, the Senior Manager plays a key leadership role in the testing and remediation of internal controls in support of managements assertion and certification required by Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Section 404 and 302. Major Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and review the performance of the following tasks by Staff: * Interpret accounting guidance and seek concurrence from corporate Financial Controls and Compliance Group (FC&CG) and external auditor with regard to compliance issues * Assist with formulation of strategy for ongoing monitoring of internal controls and reporting to management * Prepare a schedule of Managements ongoing, periodic tests of controls that will be required for SOX 404 compliance * Coordinate SOX testing schedule with impacted departments to ensure smooth execution and minimal disruption * Plan, lead and perform attestation work to support managements assertions regarding financial reporting internal controls * Review and assess the design of existing and new internal controls * Communicates or assists in communicating the results of attestation projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the Finance Committee of MedImmunes Board of Directors
