Job Description: Researches the intelligence for detailed industry and product development competitors. Monitors and tracks competitor strategies, sales efforts, pricing, market share, and customer acceptance. Develops strategies and tactics to counteract and overcome competition. Monitors, analyzes and responds to market trends and customer buying criteria to position and promote products. 4. Develops product training programs for field, telesales, and in-house personnel and Assists in training programs as to ensure that organization is capable in selling and Supporting the products as necessary. 5.Actively seeks new sales opportunities for current product portfolio. Develops strategies and tactics to capitalize on market opportunities. Makes appropriate adjustments to strategies and tactics to assure attainment of objectives. Signature: ~CB~ Qualifications This position is open to internal and external candidates. Bachelors degree in a Life Science, Engineering or Business discipline. At least 2 years of marketing experience within the commercial sector of a Life Sciences or Pharmacy organization and/or at least 5 years experience working in a commercial Engineering Sales or support role. Demonstrated experience leading marketing campaigns. Demonstrated experience in marketing (pricing, promotions & positioning) related to new and existing healthcare product portfolios. Travel: 30-40% This is an office based marketing position and as such the candidate must be willing to be located in Piscataway, NJ. You must be willing to take a drug test. You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history and educational background. Desired Advanced degree in business administration or marketing. Experience using a CRM database (in particular Siebel) an advantage. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers. Excellent presentation skills. Strong organizational skills. Sales experience preferred. GE Life Sciences sales experience preferred. This position requires a high degree of self motivation. The candidate must possess a sense of what is most important and needs to be done next while all the while maintaining a customer first attitude. The ability to prioritize activities to ensure customer satisfaction and at the same time maximize profits is required. The candidate must also have a talent for getting along with and working productively with a variety of highly motivated sales personalities. A strong scientific/technical personality is also necessary as much learning is accomplished by self motivation/study and without strict didactic instruction.
