Job Description:
The Parts Manager must be an investment advisor and profit producer. Strong communication is required between the Parts Manager, Technicians, Service Advisors, Cashiers and Vehicle Coordinators. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of performance within the Parts operations o Develop and follow-up on individual business unit action plans to achieve the desired outcome o Champion National and District initiatives within the store (Assessment, Training, Certification, Parts days supply, Asset Management o Provide feedback to the General Manager, and the District staff based on the contacts o Involvement in collective marketing efforts. o Develop succession plan within the store for continuous Parts operations o Oversight of the collective recruiting, selection, and staffing effort o Evaluate and coordinate Parts training initiatives. o Participate in the annual budget preparation and validate its premise with quantifiable data and initiatives o Compliance and reporting of any activity that would expose the store to avoidable risk o Effective leadership of assigned staff o Coordinate external resources o Share Best Demonstrated Practices Required Experience: Ideal candidates will have: o Two years experience as a Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager at an Automobile Dealership or wholesale parts department. o Good working knowledge of parts operations including purchasing, inventory contorl and pricing. o Experience in computerized parts systems. o Good verbal and written communication skills. o Valid Driver's License o Good understanding of customer satisfaction systems.
