Job Description:
The core application services are PeopleSoft-based packages. The DBA will provide logistical support, monitoring, maintenance, and management of all enterprise server tiers. In a secondary capacity, additional technical and functional contributions may be required in support of the business systems.- 4 years practical experience administering PeopleSoft ERP systems.- Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in: PeopleSoft system upgrades, patching, & installations. PeopleSoft system administration.- Production environment support & troubleshooting.- 4 years practical experience administering Oracle databases, experience with 10g and above preferred.- Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in: Database & instance tuning and performance optimization.- Experience with SQL/index application tuning.- Experience with back up and recovery.- Experience with database development and normalization.- Experience with job/task scheduling & scripting.- Experience with a production environment support & troubleshooting.- Experience with database cloning and refreshing.- 4 years practical experience working on Linux or UNIX platforms and Windows servers.- Basic O/S system administration is required, with a sufficient level of proficiency in file system operations, shell scripting, security, etc.- Experience managing PeopleSoft software & configuration on database, application, web, PS report/batch, and file servers- Education: College Degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science)
