Job Description:
The Business Intelligence manager will need to be a creative, analytical thinker who can not only lead a team of database professionals but also effectively communicate, plan information system strategy and make presentations to senior IT managers. Applicants will have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or engineering, five plus years of experience with database queries, stored procedure writing, and OLAP and data cube technology, and three or more years in technical personnel management. Principal responsibilities include: Responsible for all activities related to the design and development of enterprise wide data analysis and reporting solutions. Produce standard reporting / business intelligence 'packages' (dashboards, presentations, etc.) for use by key stakeholders at all levels of the organization Project long-range requirements for business intelligence in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function as well as business function managers Consult with and advise users of various business intelligence systems. Collaborate with DBA team on schemas and data structures to enable access to data elements and variables Assign personnel to various work projects and direct their activities Review and evaluate work and prepare performance reports Confer with and advise subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods. Prepare activity and progress reports regarding the business intelligence section. Provide input to senior IT management regarding company data standards and practices Develop and manage budgets Some travel (up to 10%) may be required. Preferences Sector: Residential Construction
