Job Description:
The firm has successfully designed and executed projects that range in scope from comprehensive master plans, to the creation of intimate landscapes and the detail design of site elements. Recent projects include institutional, campus, streetscape, recreational, and transportation design; site planning for public parks; and neighborhood plans. We are intensely concerned with the sustainable character of the interventions that shape the environments we create. Our designs respond to the meaning and purpose a place has to the user along with the visual and physical cues of the environment. Skills Required: The successful candidate will have: A minimum of 4 years experience with strong design, communication, organizational, and management skills (facile in both hand drawing and computer drafting) and commensurate technical expertise. Knowledge and experience in all facets of landscape architecture including site and detail design, plants, grading, layout, specification writing, bid set coordination, and construction observation. The self-assurance to work independently as well as the capability to be a leader and/or key member of a design team. The ability and motivation to manage a project from proposal through construction observation and to mentor junior staff. The availability to start work immediately.
