Job Description:
Essential Functions Oversees development of Project Charter and Scope of Work. Gains approval and Senior Management sponsorship for project. Identifies key Project risks and potential liabilities, and drives Management decisions on how to deal with them. Gains agreement on project objectives and timelines and negotiates required resources with Senior Management and functional leaders. Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance requirements. Uses appropriate Project control techniques, bringing functional leaders and/or Senior Management into the situation as required. Plans and manages activities of Development outsourcing contractors or collaborators. Manages project activities and expenses to meet budget, timeline, milestone and resource objectives. Tracks, reports and resolves issues arising, involving other managers where appropriate. Responsible for project updates, communications, as well as ensuring that timely and effective decision points occur with appropriate stakeholder involvement. Poor performance will result in critical delay(s), excessive trouble-shooting or technical support downstream, or defective product performance in key applications. Acts as an advisor to various staff to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Communicates and demonstrates importance of professional, cultural and individual diversity to project success. Frequently interacts with supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers to promote Project Team effectiveness and performance. Drives alignment of functional contributor ICP objectives with Project objectives.
