Job Description:
Simulation expert. Will be responsible for the daily operations of the JCAS Branch and the MSAT in support of Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) course training requirements. Conducts future planning and recommends solutions. Develops, implements and instructs JTAC course curriculum. Conducts Close Air Support (CAS) and Call For Fire (CFF) instruction. Incumbent represents NSAWC on matters concerning assessments of JCAS simulation requirements. Also conducts instruction, evaluation, and terminal control training during live fireĀ JTAC course events. Responsible for the formulation and execution of the JCAS Branch budget. Briefs NSAWC JCAS Branch positions to high-ranking officials of DoD, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and component commanders and staff as required. Incumbent oversees JCAS Branch military, civil service, and contractor personnel. Incumbent represents NSAWC JCAS Branch at planning and scenario development conferences, workshops, symposiums, and meetings. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Key Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Background and/or Security Investigation required. Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required. Major Duties: This position is located at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC), Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada. NSAWC is the center of excellence for naval aviation training and tactics development. Incumbent serves as the Assistant Branch Head of NSAWC Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) Branch and primary Multi-Purpose Supporting Arms.
