Manage contractual relationships with producers; Analyze daily markets through electronic and written media; Deal with producers and livestock agents either directly or indirectly; Project cattle feed cattle weight for harvesting; Negotiate cattle pricing; Gain respect and trust of customers and cattle buyers; Attend and participate in daily business update meetings with ownership; Ensure customer contractual agreements are met from receipt of cattle to sale; Occasional travel to visit customers is required; Evaluate cattle market. Be informed about industry and trends. Education: Degree in Animal Science or related field or the equivalent experience. Required: 5-10 years progressively responsible related cattle procurement experience; Preferred: Procurement in feedlot and/or packing facilities.
