Job Description:
We are seeking a Global Procurement Manager to work with our Tradico team in the General Office in Minnetonka. This position is responsible for elements of the Animal Nutrition global purchasing and supply chain for micro ingredients. Scope is complex - more than 100 potential ingredients supplied to 180 feed mills in 28 countries. This position is responsible for: Ensuring attainment of competitive advantage through purchasing terms with suppliers. This is measured in USD value capture. Responsible for developing global, regional, and national strategies for purchasing of select micro ingredients with key vendors. Coordinating our actions with purchasing teams in other regions of the world. Developing relationships to ensure we are the preferred customer for our key vendors. Deploying supply chain strategies that reduce cost of goods for our businesses around the world. Up to 30% travel required, including international travel. Qualifications Required 5 years previous purchasing experience with micro ingredient industry (food/feed: vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, phosphates, additives, etc. or significant feed ingredient purchasing experience.) Previous supervisory experience 4 year degree Ability to multi task and prioritize, build relationships, work through others to develop and drive accountability in work processes. Ability to act and think on a strategic level while implementing programs/policies for tactical actions. Ability to travel up to 30%, including international travel Preferred Previous P & L experience and responsibility. Previous international work/travel experience Knowledge/experience with Cargill Inc.
