Job Description:
Mission: Maximize EVA contribution through integration of supply market knowledge into the development process, initiation and management of material and cost reductions initiatives. Integration of Siemens Global Procurement processes within the cross-functional communities. Contacts: Product Divisions, Research & Development, Product Management, Commodity Managers, Global Procurement Managers, Buyers, Suppliers Activities Participate in program management and design development programs activities Manage the integration of preferred suppliers/materials into development process Participate in sourcing team discussions/activities Lead Design to Cost workshops Drive standardization efforts Drive implementation of cost-effective supplier proposals Ensure target costs for materials are established, communicated and respective strategies are in place Provide input for technology section of Siemens Supplier Evaluation Analyze technical capabilities and roadmaps of potential suppliers Recommend suppliers for new and existing requirements Analyze cost breakdowns from suppliers Supervise daily activities of direct reports (other PEs) Responsible for distribution.
