Job Description:
Manage the competitive bid process using policies and procedures governing the company's purchasing activities in the development and distribution of bid packages and evaluation process. Manage commodity inventory/forecasts, keeping sufficient levels to achieve an economic standard and avoid both overage and backorders. Partner with Strategic Contract Managers for all contract negotiations, amendments and terminations. Participate in delivering accurate accounting controls to ensure accounts are properly charged for the cost of goods and services rendered. Support the business with solutions, benchmarks, and best practices on industry trends for commodity procurement. Investigate and implement new technologies and strategic procurement strategies. Prepare analysis reporting in support of making spending decisions including but not limited to MTD/YTD reporting. Manage vendor compliance for all vendor activity. Recruit, identify, develop and retain talent to drive high performance. Supervise the work of professional staff.
