World leading manufacturer of specialty products is actively seeking a Production Supervisor with some expertise in the following manufacturing fields ? film extrusion or sheet calendering, mixing, compounding, extraction, web handling, drying and solvent recovery. You must demonstrate the leadership ability to reach productivity and quality goals while continuously driving improvements in both. You must clearly relay to employees all expectations in regards to job performance, personal conduct and safety while promoting employee development. You will prepare operational schedules. You must have a 4-year degree from an accredited school and good written and verbal communication skills. You must have proficiency in various computer applications, e.g. Word, Excel, Charts & Graphs, Pivot Tables and PowerPoint. You will need labor relations (union) experience. You need training in the following: Safety Programs, Team Applications, Six Sigma, Problem Solving Techniques, Lean Manufacturing Concepts and 5S (Lean Manufacturing concepts). This is a contract position with the potential to become a permanent position and the opportunity for growth in a global company. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
