Responds to and monitors all appropriate legal correspondence and Excess Insurance re-imbursements. Approves all large loss reports to Excess Insurance and Albertsons Management. Attends Settlement roundtables as necessary Performs all other duties as required. PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervising W/C Claims oversight Associates in addition to Hourly non-union support staff as necessary. SCOPE DATA: Claims Settlement authority up to $100,000 JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Prior management experience over California Workers' Compensation Claims and/or extensive (not less than 10 yrs) previous experience in handling W/C Claims. Possess general knowledge of Claims data and Loss Control techniques with regard to California Workers Compensation & other Jurisdictions. Familiarity with Retail store and Distribution center operations helpful. Must be certified as a Self-Insurance Claims Administrator, (California).
