Job Description:
Leading successful business development efforts including pre-marketing, proposal development and new business pitches for large government procurements ($10 million dollars or more), non-profit and foundations - Leading large contracts ($10 million or more) including providing high-level strategic and innovative counsel, resolving high-level client issues, mentoring staff and developing and managing group SOPs as well as project budgets - Contributing to the growth and management of the Health Communications Group and in particular expanding the media outreach capabilities. This includes identifying and hiring staff, developing and implementing standard operating procedures, and leading training efforts - Staying abreast of the latest communication technologies, following industry publications, participation in industry forums and events, and formal education where necessary The ideal candidate should possess and/or demonstrate the following: - Minimum 12+ years of communications experience with an expertise in media outreach and health communications; HHS agency experience is strongly preferred - Strong project management skills and experience - Successful track record of managing large government contracts with 5- year contract value of $10 million dollars or more - Proven ability to lead wining proposal efforts for large government contracts ($10 million or more) and winning recompetes - Strong strategic and innovative thinker - Strong presentation and writing skills - Ability to develop and track client budgets while remaining profitable - Proven experience managing and inspiring teammates and developing strong positive relationships with staff and clients - Bachelors Degree in Business.
