Candidates should have solid experience covering general assignment and breaking news in a major urban market and be familiar with AP style. Applicants should have demonstrated skills in digitally editing sound and video, recording digital sound and experience teaching multimedia skills to other journalists. Applicants must show superior writing and editing skills, strong news judgment in recognizing and developing newsworthy stories, the ability to work accurately and quickly under deadline, juggle multiple needs effectively and work well with colleagues, news sources and member newspapers and broadcasters.
