Job Description:
Directs the Audit and Consulting Department in accordance with the Board of Directors and Family of Company’s requirements. Provides advice and counsel to the Board and the executive management group to strengthen the corporate governance and the system of internal controls. Develops and executes a comprehensive internal audit program for the evaluation of internal controls in place for the Companies to ensure that the audit work fulfills the department’s mission of providing independent, objective assurance services designed to add value and improve the organization’s operations. Directs the overall evaluation of the organization’s risk management, controls and processes, to determine adequacy and identify areas of improvement. Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Auditing, Management or related field from accredited institution. Advanced degree desirable. Experience: Ten years experience in accounting and auditing and five year’s experience related to the utility industry along with five years of departmental leader/manager experience. Sarbanes-Oxley experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications: CPA, CIA or related professional designation preferred. Specialized Skills: Ability to communicate objectively with all levels within the Corporation, Board Committees and Board of Directors. We are an equal opportunity employer.
